Bonjour! Although this quarantine has certainly put a damper on spring fashion, I drew some inspiration from my last few weeks in Paris and ransacked my closet at home to come up with a few new outfits. This week’s feature: checkers! This fun yet classic pattern is one that I saw popping up as Paris began its transition to spring, and I wanted to try it out myself. Below are three cute winter-to-spring transition outfits!
This first outfit features a checkered jumpsuit from Urban Outfitters and a classic black turtleneck. It includes some of my favorite things (besides the checkers!), such as layer, buttons, and the classic Parisian color scheme. It’s a fun outfit for when the days start to get a little bit warmer, but you still want to fit in with the ideals of La Parisienne!
This next outfit is a fun twist on a more business casual look. Featuring flare checkered pants and a fitted gray turtleneck, it again fits the Parisian look with a fun pattern and funky style of pants.
This last outfit is a bit more fun, and I can perfectly envision myself picnicking in front of the Eiffel Tower wearing it! The top is a cropped sweater found in a Parisian thrift shop, and the checkered skirt is from a local boutique in Columbia, South Carolina. I love that the lighter pink color of the checkered pattern makes it feel more like spring!
